The chairperson of the Academic Council – Borisas Melnikas, Prof. Dr. Habil, Head of Departament of International Economics and Management, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University Members: Albinas Marcinskas, Prof Dr Habil, Professor at Department of Management, Vilnius University; Rasa Smaliukiene, Prof, Head of Departament of Management, The General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania; Stanislovas Puskorius, Prof Dr Habil, Professor at Institute of Management, Faculty of Politics and Management, Mykolas Romeris University; Alvydas Raipa, Prof Dr, Professor at Institute of Public Administration, Faculty of Politics and Management, Mykolas Romeris University. All the members of the Academic Council are scientists, who successfully work in the field of scientific researches, are involved in many international projects in the area of public administration improvement and public service modernization, take an active part in the events and programmes organized by Lithuanian Training Institutes of Public Administration and the Association of such institutes. They deliver lectures and conduct seminars/workshops in different in – service training events for public servants and public administration specialists, prepare various training programmes, act as experts, constantly provide consultations on many issues of management and administration, preparation and implementation of public policy and human resourse development for both leaders and employees of public administration institutions. The Academic Council accumulates high potential of scientific, theoretical and practical knowledge, which enables to modernize the development of public servants, specialists and this way ensures improvement of the activity of Lithuanian Training Institutes of Public Administration. This Council acts as a panel of expert monitors the processes of public management development and provides consultations for heads and employees of public administration institutions on issues of public management training improvement.
